GFID INDIA is the largest and the most vibrant chapter across the vast network. In the last 20 years, it has continuously taken the lead and hopes to build on its strength to create an increasingly positive ecosystem for the entrepreneurs and investors. With a strong mentor support base, various events throughout the year covering various aspects of entrepreneurship, expanding into new geographies and business & organization management and multiple opportunities to showcase and network, it has emerged as one of the biggest platform supporting entrepreneurship.

Goals & Objectives

GFID INDIA Global is a nonprofit venture devoted to entrepreneurs in all industries, at all stages, from incubation, throughout the entrepreneurial life cycle. With a global reach and a local focus, the heart of GFID INDIA efforts lies in its five foundational programs – Mentoring, Networking, Education, Funding, and Incubation.
Several members have formed startups while at GFID INDIA, and are now charter members giving back to the community. GFID INDIA’s ultimate goal is to foster entrepreneurship, creating wealth for both the entrepreneur and the local communities.

What we do

Since 2009 GFID INDIA has been supporting entrepreneurs by offering education, mentorship, networking and funding opportunities. The mission of GFID INDIA is to foster entrepreneurship globally through the 5 pillars of GFID INDIA : mentoring, networking and education, funding and incubation. Dedicated to the virtuous cycle of wealth creation and giving back to the community. GFID INDIA’s focus area is to generate enable the next generation of entrepreneurs.

GFID INDIA Global is the largest non-profit organization and has amazing networking effect. GFID INDIA connects the entire entrepreneurship ecosystem from early stage entrepreneurs, serial entrepreneurs, professionals at leading corporations, venture capital, angel investors, thought leaders among others. The organization emphasizes the spirit of giving in all aspects of their work.

There are currently 10,000 members, including over 2,500 charter members in 60 chapters across 10 countries. GFID INDIA’s mission is to foster entrepreneurship globally through mentoring, networking, and education. Dedicated to the virtuous cycle of wealth creation and giving back to the community, GFID INDIA’s focus is on generating and nurturing our next generation of entrepreneurs.

The foremost and most widely known event that GFID INDIA hosts is GFIDcon, which is the largest professional and networking conference for entrepreneurs. GFID INDIA also hosts a wide range of programs events catering to various industry verticals, educational events hosted by GFID INDIA Institute, GFID INDIA Young Entrepreneurs program to foster entrepreneurship in our youth, and GFID INDIA Women’s Forum for empowering women entrepreneurs.

Besides its flagship event, GFIDCon – the largest professional conference for entrepreneurs, GFID INDIA now has a wide range of programs including Special Interest Groups (SIGs), GFID INDIA Institute, Deal Flow Meetings, TiE Young Entrepreneurs, and most recently GFID INDIA Women’s Forum and CEO Forum.

History

GFID INDIA was founded in 2009 in Indore by a group of successful entrepreneurs, corporate executives, & senior professionals. There are currently more than 10,000 members and over 180 charter members in 61 chapters in 10 countries.

Over the last 12 years of existence GFID INDIA Chapters around the world has become a vibrant platform for entrepreneurs, professionals, industry leaders, investors to interact with one another & forge long lasting relationships.

In addition, we specialise in world-class business and legal training and are an industry-leading publisher of practical tools for international business, banking and arbitration. So, from the small e-commerce start-up in Istanbul to the multinational software company in Delhi, businesses worldwide can benefit from GFID INDIA’s rules and mechanisms for the conduct of trade.

Chairmanship and Secretary General

The Chairman, his/her immediate predecessor and the Vice-Chairs form the Chairmanship. GFID INDIA’s Secretary General, appointed by the World Council, heads the International Secretariat and works closely with national committees to carry out GFID INDIA’s work programme.

GFID INDIA Executive Board

The Executive Board is responsible for developing and implementing GFID INDIA’s strategy, policy and programme of action and for overseeing the financial affairs of the organization.
